<\/a>\u201cIn 2022, the Samsung Austin Semiconductor<\/a> campus on Parmer Lane\u00a0and construction at the $17 billion Taylor facility injected $13.6.3 billion into\u00a0the\u00a0Central Texas\u00a0economy while supporting\u00a0over $1 billion\u00a0in workers\u2019 salaries,\u201d said Jon Taylor, corporate vice president of Fab Engineering. \u201cWhile many folks may think we make TVs, we actually make the \u2018chips\u2019 that power mobile devices, tablets, cars and other devices all of us use daily. These chips start out as raw silicon wafers and are transformed into integrated circuits \u2013 or chips \u2013 as we like to call them.
